CI Skull
"CI Skull", also famous in the steel trade as Cast-Iron Skull, is a solidified or semi-solidified layer forming on the surface of molten metal, particularly during the melting or casting processes of steel production. While dealing with cast iron (CI), one must note that the skull often contains impurities, slag, and other contaminants that have floated to the surface. Proper removal and management of the CI skull are crucial to maintaining the quality of the cast iron products and ensuring the smooth operation of the casting process.
