Scrap
Scraps are waste materials and byproducts obtained during the steel manufacturing process. They are usually recycled and reused again in the steel production process. Recycling scrap metals is economically and environmentally beneficial, reducing the intake of raw materials during production and thus effectively utilising the waste. The Indian iron and steel industry prefers scraps because of the negligible carbon emission during steel production.
